Filipe-Flop
At the Therapy and enabling service we provide support for Service Users with a learning disability to do daily activities, tasks, and jobs within the community. These involve learning how to stay healthy and fit by swimming, walking and cooking lunch, we also go into residential homes for the elderly and we support our service users to serve tea and lay the tables for them. Our service users enjoy sensory activities such as sailing, using our sensory room and being involved in music and art sessions.

Service Users and Staff at the Adult Disability Therapy and Enabling Service
The service Users have enjoyed being involved with the past projects so were keen to get the dolphin this year, we first of all let everyone suggest names and to draw designs and then we do a vote. The service users take up different roles, some love washing it and giving it its base coat whilst other enjoy doing the pictures and seeing them come to life throughout the time, it is a good sensory activity that all can be involved in and has brought great joy into our centre this year.
Filipe-Flop has been designed with the beach in mind, we have such beautiful coast line in Guernsey and we hope we have celebrated that through our dolphin and brought it to life for all to enjoy.
