Triton’s father was Poseidon , hence the mosaic - a bit like getting a “DAD” tattoo.
Three lively patterns used by the great artist Bridget Riley work well here.
Triton was able to calm waves by blowing his conch shell, hence triton shells.
A simple blue colour theme ties it all together.
Triton was a demigod, a merman and good wrestler, so the splashy bits had to be bold.
It was fun trying to pull all this together and I hope you see more connections.
